Kennedy + Andrew
Burning Sky Farm
Kennedy and Andrew’s September wedding at Burning Sky Farm was the epitome of tasteful elegance with a welcoming, colorful aesthetic. The couple brought a coastal touch to the Colorado countryside with summery white and blue accents, woven into refined flatware, delicate glassware, and whimsical, refined floral centerpieces. Dozens of pillar and taper candles added a glow to the al fresco dinner under string lights, creating a truly magical setting.
Guests were welcomed with champagne upon arrival, setting the tone for an intimate and joy-filled celebration. At the close of their heartfelt ceremony, guests tossed petals into the air as Kennedy and Andrew made their newly married exit.
A custom floral wall served as both a seating chart and a beautiful design element, with arrangements later repurposed into the dinner tablescape, adding even more color and texture to the specially designed tablescapes. One unforgettable moment came during the marriage license signing, when the venue owner’s golden retriever puppy made a surprise appearance—a delightful nod to the bride’s personal connection to the family, having once nannied for their daughter.

Calico Weddings provided expert coordination, managing all vendors and the unique considerations of planning on private property. Burning Sky is first and foremost a family home, and our experience with intimate, nontraditional venues helped ensure the day unfolded seamlessly. We adored collaborating with photographer Markie Mica, whose light, airy style beautifully captured every detail.
